Job summary

Philex Mining Corporation invites a seasoned Mining Engineer to lead the production operation at our Tubod mine site in Surigao del Norte. You will oversee underground and surface activities and manage a team of engineers and specialists.

The role requires a registered Mining Engineer with a valid license and strong proficiency in MS Office; willingness to be assigned at the Tubod mine site and coordinate with operations, maintenance, safety and security to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering
• At least five (5) years of experience in a mining operation in an underground environment and five (5) years in surface operations
• Must be a registered Mining Engineer with a valid license
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• The position will be under our subsidiary, Silangan Mindanao Mining Co.,Inc.
• Willing to be assigned in our mine site at Tubod, Surigao Del Norte

Responsibilities

• Oversee the production operation of the mine
• Manages a team of engineers and other professionals to ensure that development projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standard of quality
• Implements plans for underground mine production, including coordinating with other departments such as operations, maintenance, safety environment, and security
• Ensure the availability of materials and supplies to avoid operational delays
• Reports on project progress to senior management, including identifying risks and proposing solutions to issues as they arise.
