Qualifications

Job Responsibilities
Documentation and Compliance
Prepare, review and submit safety reports, risk assessments, permits to work and other regulatory compliance documents
Maintain, update and manage safety records, inspection logs, incident reports and other safety-related documentation
Ensure compliance with applicable government regulation, company policies and safety standards
Inspection and Monitoring
Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and workplace walkthroughs to ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards and company policies
Identify, assess and monitor unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, near-miss incidents and potential hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures
Ensure availability, proper use and compliance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), safety tools and emergency equipment on site
Monitor contractor, subcontractor and workforce compliance with safety rules, regulations and approved safety plans
Incident Investigation and Risk Management
Lead and participate in accident and incident investigations including root cause analysis, documentation and submission of investigation reports
Recommend and monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence of incidents
Coordination and Support
Spearhead and facilitate toolbox meetings, safety orientations, drills, trainings, and emergency preparedness activities
Coordinate closely with site management, supervisors and the Safety and Health Department on safety-related concerns and initiatives
Perform other safety-related duties as assigned by management or the Safety and Health Department Head
