The role requires a licensed Mining Engineer with 10+ years in open-pit projects, willing to be based on site in Tubod, Surigao del Norte.
The Mine Manager will lead and oversee all open-pit gold mining operations, driving execution from early site establishment and mine development through to full-scale commercial extraction. Responsible for setting up operational systems for a new mining company, this role applies strong project management to optimize life-of-mine planning, pit designs, drill-and-blast, load-and-haul fleets, dewatering, and waste dump management while ensuring strict statutory safety compliance and operational efficiency.
Direct and oversee day-to-day open-pit mining activities, including drilling, blasting, load-and-haul cycles, and grade control to consistently achieve production and throughput targets.
Lead operational setup and mine sequencing across pre-development, active extraction, and post-closure stages, managing project timelines, CAPEX/OPEX budgets, and resource allocation.
Oversee pit slope stability, quarry operations, waste dump construction, haul road maintenance, and pit dewatering systems to ensure safe and efficient ground conditions.
Collaborate with geology, mine planning, and processing teams to optimize life-of-mine (LOM) designs, short- and long-term mine schedules, and ore blending strategies.
Enforce strict adherence to statutory mining regulations, corporate safety protocols, and environmental standards to maintain a zero-harm operational culture.
Mentor and lead multi-disciplinary operational crews, manage mining contractors, and promote a productive, accountable site team culture.
