Job summary

Private Advertiser in the Philippines seeks a Sr. Mining Engineer to lead compliance and on-site mining operations. You will implement daily inspections, ensure safety and environmental controls, and represent the company during regulatory inspections and audits.

The role requires licensed mining engineering expertise, deep regulatory knowledge, and experience with grade control, project planning, and stakeholder coordination with government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily mining site inspections in accordance with approved work programs, applicable mining laws, and Company policies
• Identify operational deficiencies during execution and recommend or implement corrective measures within delegated authority
• Ensure adherence and proper implementation by operators to AEPEP, SHP, SDMP, and other approved Programs
• Report to the Mine Project Manager any safety or environmental incidents and/or accidents within 24 hours
• Assist the Mine Project Manager in representing the Company during site-level regulatory inspections, audits, and monitoring activities
• Supervise the operational process of gathering shipment documentation, including daily draft report, field assay results, and Statements of Facts
• Act as the Company's on-site representative in the absence of the Mine Project Manager in meetings, conferences, inspections, audits, and regulatory proceedings
• Ensure correct grades and volumes of production in relation to released assay results and permit requirements
• Ensure field-level adherence to ISO protocols, specifically ISO 14001
• Furnish operational updates, production performance summaries, and field condition reports to the Mine Project Manager and/or Management

About the role

Sr. Mining Engineer / Compliance role responsible for implementing daily mining site inspections in accordance with approved work programs, applicable mining laws, and Company policies. The position involves ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, social, and approved programs, representing the Company during regulatory inspections and audits, and acting as the Company's on-site representative in the absence of the Mine Project Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Implement daily mining site inspections in accordance with approved work programs, applicable mining laws, and Company policies

• Identify operational deficiencies during execution and recommend or implement corrective measures within delegated authority

• Ensure adherence and proper implementation by operators to the Annual Environmental Protection and Enhancement Program (AEPEP), Safety and Health Program (SHP), Social Development and Management Program (SDMP), and other approved Programs

• Report to the Mine Project Manager any and all safety or environmental incidents and/or accidents within twenty-four (24) hours from occurrence

• Assist the Mine Project Manager in representing the Company during site-level regulatory inspections, audits, and monitoring activities

• Supervise the operational process of gathering shipment documentation, including daily draft report, field assay results, and Statements of Facts
