Job summary

BW Epic Kosan Crewing Inc. is seeking a Crewing Assistant in Manila on a 5-month contract to ensure seafarers meet STCW and flag-state requirements, maintain medical fitness, and comply with company policies and customer vessel specs.

You will also help arrange US visas, coordinate PPE needs, and keep crew records up to date, with dispatch and cash-advance procedures handled by the team. Strong IT, organizational, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Bachelor's degree preferably with high IT skills/interest or IT graduate.
• Experience in crewing operations is good though not required.
• Maintain and meet specific Crewing Team performance metrics.
• Team player with some leadership skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Analytical and takes initiatives to improve work processes.
• Result-oriented and familiar with requirements in STCW.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, innovative and a good team player.
• Good computer and organization skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Responsibilities

• Ensure all seafarers placed on board by the Company are properly qualified in accordance with International (STCW) and Flag State regulations, are medically fit, and comply with Company Recruitment Policies and Customer Vessel requirements.
• Facilitate arrangement of US visa in coordination with seafarers.
• Facilitate working gears / PPE requirement of joining crew.
• Checks and updates crew personnel information in crew management system.
• Verifies, and updates crew documents and certificates in crew management system.
• Arrange the original documents and certificates of joining crew prior dispatch.
• Conduct dispatch of joining crew.
• Process the requisition of Cash Advance and facilitate its release to joining crew.
• Assist in monitoring the validity of documents and licenses of crew.
