Job summary

Union Marine Management Services PTE. LTD. in Makati invites a Crewing Assistant to join our crew operations team on-site.

You will support crew mobilization planning, initially screen seafarers, and assist with endorsements for final assessment of Marine and Technical staff. The role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with Owners, Manning Agencies, Travel Agencies and Port Agencies while ensuring compliance with IMO,

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in crewing or maritime operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and organisational abilities to manage crew deployment schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage effective and timely crew mobilization planning for all vessels.
• Screen seafarers based on SLA prior endorsement for final assessment.
• Ensure crew compliance with IMO, STCW and MLC standards.
• Oversee crew portal administration and validate crew-related payments.
• Adhere to HSSEQ procedures and alert management and authorities as needed.
• Communicate with Owner’s Rep, Manning Agencies, Travel Agencies and Port Agencies.

Crewing Assistant (CA) manage the effective and timely crew mobilization planner for all managed vessels. He/she is responsible for initial screening of seafarers based on Service Level Agreement prior endorsement for final assessment of Marine and Technical.

Shall ensure all deployed crew are in compliance to organizational standards, International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations, Standards for Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) conventions and the Maritime Labour Convention.

Shall oversee various stakeholders utilization on crew portal administration. He/she is responsible to check/validate accuracy of crew related payments ensuring we operate within vessel budget/s and target/s.

Assist to ensure that crewing tasks are performed in adherence to the organization’s health, safety, security, environment and quality (HSSEQ) procedures, and alerts Senior Management, Protection and Indemnity (P&I) clubs and relevant authorities in the event that accidents and/or incidents occur.

The Crewing Assistant must possess good organisational skills, detail oriented and has a foresight in planning crew deployments. As he/she will be in contact with Owner’s Rep/Manning Agencies/Travel Agencies/Port Agencies, he/she must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
