• Physically fit for manual labour and ladders.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport preferred.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Staff member to join the team at Interactive Multi-Purpose Cooperative. This is a full-time position based in Santo Tomas City, Batangas. The Maintenance Staff will play a crucial role in ensuring that all facilities, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards, supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our cooperative's activities. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining a safe, functional, and professional environment for our members, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of buildings, facilities, and equipment to identify and address any defects or areas requiring repair

• Execute general repairs and maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC system maintenance

• Maintain and service mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity

• Conduct preventative maintenance activities to minimise equipment downtime and extend asset lifespan

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and members, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions

• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs completed, and spare parts used

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices in all maintenance activities

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment storage

• Collaborate with external contractors or specialists when specialised repairs or maintenance are required

• Monitor facility conditions and report any significant issues or safety concerns to management

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in general maintenance, handyperson services, or a related field within the trades and services sector

• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, equipment operation, and basic repair techniques

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively

• Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance (certification or formal training is advantageous)

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently whilst also being a team player

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, climb ladders

• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation (preferred)

• Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach when interacting with staff and members

• Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance situations as required
