Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance or handyman work.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and basic repair techniques.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and safe operation.
• Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance understanding; certification advantageous.
• Independent worker with ability to collaborate in a team.
• Good attention to detail and high workmanship standards.
• Physically fit for manual labour and ladders.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer-service orientation.
• Flexibility for emergency maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of buildings, facilities, and equipment.
• Execute repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC tasks.
• Maintain and service mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Respond to maintenance requests, troubleshoot, and implement solutions.
• Keep accurate records of work and parts used.
• Ensure health and safety compliance in maintenance activities.
• Maintain tidy maintenance areas and tools.
• Collaborate with external contractors when specialized work is needed.
• Monitor facility conditions and report safety concerns.
