Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.

• Strong knowledge of plastic processing equipment (injection, blow molding, extrusion).
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems, QMS documentation, ISO standards.

Plastic and Tools Inc. is looking for a qualified and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

Our company is located in a world-class industrial subdivision south of Manila, with more than 100 employees and over 25 years of experience in the industry.

The HR Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department and ensure the effective implementation of HR policies, employee programs, and company procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• 1. Equipment Maintenance & Optimization
  • Develop and improve mechanical systems for plastic processing equipment.
  • Collaborate with production teams to enhance machine performance and reduce cycle times.
  • Inspect and repair auxiliary equipment (Chillers, compressors, dryers, granulators, conveyors).
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery (injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, extrusion, PET processing, or other relevant equipment).
• 2. Maintenance Planning & Reliability
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance schedules on mechanical components.
  • Maintain equipment history records, breakdown logs and spare parts inventory.
• 3. Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving
  • Diagnose mechanical failures in hydraulic, pneumatic, hydraulic issues and rotating systems.
  • Implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• 4. Continuous Process Improvement
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to optimize processes.
  • Recommend upgrades and modifications to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance),5S activities & KAIZEN initiatives
• 5. Compliance & Documentation
  • Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs, and engineering documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, QMS, CAPA entries and safety standards through documentation audits.
  • Perform other maintenance functions.
• 6. Collaboration & Training
  • Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to operators and technicians

Education & Work Experience

• Strong knowledge of plastic processing equipment (injection, blow molding, thermoforming, extrusion).
• Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical design tools.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems, QMS documentation, and ISO standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• At least one (1) year of technical experience in preventive maintenance, mechanical, electrical works, and troubleshooting gained from a plastic manufacturing environment.
• Actual hands-on exposure in troubleshooting blow molding, injection molding, vacuum forming machines, and PET Stretch blow molding process.
