Firefly Electric & Lighting Corp. in Calumpit, Bulacan is seeking a Senior Production Engineer (Plastics Extrusion) to lead troubleshooting, optimize extrusion processes, and mentor the engineering team toward high-impact production targets.

You will fine-tune extrusion machine settings, monitor OEE, reduce scrap, and collaborate with Maintenance, QA, and suppliers to sustain process stability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Mechanical preferred; Licenced Engineer an advantage.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in Plastics Extrusion.
• Strong proficiency in extrusion parameter optimization and equipment troubleshooting.
• Proven leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fine-tune extrusion process parameters to maximize yield and reduce defects.
• Monitor OEE and machine utilization; drive downtime reductions.
• Lead and mentor engineers and operators; implement skill-up plans.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, QA, and suppliers on improvements.

Are you an experienced engineering leader looking to drive operational excellence and optimize manufacturing workflows? We are seeking a high-performing Senior Production Engineer (Plastics Extrusion) to lead technical troubleshooting, enhance process stability, and mentor our engineering team in Calumpit, Bulacan!

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Location: Calumpit, Bulacan, Philippines (Onsite)

• Role Type: Full-time

• Department: Wire / Production

• Reporting To: Production Manager

• Work Schedule: 5-day work week

As a Senior Production Engineer, you will oversee wires extrusion efficiency by solving complex technical issues, optimizing equipment performance, and developing the engineering team to reach high-impact production targets

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process Optimization & Quality Control: Fine-tune extrusion machine settings to maximize yield, enhance product consistency, reduce defects, and achieve significant reductions in scrap/reject rates.

• Operational Efficiency & Machine Productivity: Monitor and drive key operational metrics including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and machine utilization while minimizing technical downtime.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify process-related bottlenecks, establish permanent countermeasures for recurring technical issues, and enhance process stability.

• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance, direct hands-on troubleshooting support, and execute structured skill-up training plans for production engineers and operators.

• Reporting & Collaboration: Track daily production variance, manage technical improvement reports, and coordinate across Maintenance, QA, and suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred; Licensed Engineer is an advantage).

• Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in the Plastics Extrusion manufacturing process.

• Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in wires extrusion parameter optimization, extrusion line operations, productivity tracking tools, and advanced equipment troubleshooting.

• Core Competencies: Proven leadership ability, systematic problem-solving skills, continuous improvement mindset, and strong teamwork/communication skills.
