Job summary

We Search Searchers Staffers Corp is seeking a Logistics Officer in a Manila hybrid setup. You will coordinate import/freight activities, manage warehouse operations, and plan transport with 3PLs to ensure timely deliveries.

Responsibilities include aligning receiving schedules with vessel arrivals, conducting inventory audits, and producing KPI reports on delivery performance and costs. A Bachelor's degree with 1–2 years in logistics is required; FMCG experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• FMCG/trading/distribution exp preferred.
• WMS/ERP knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with import docs, customs procedures & freight forwarding processes.

• Strong organizational, analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Willing to conduct on-site visits to warehouses & transport hubs.
• Willing to work in BGC (Hybrid); 8am–5pm or 9am–6pm, Mon–Fri.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines for inbound shipments from origin to port and warehouse.
• Facilitate timely customs clearance and ensure accurate documentation (import permits, bills of lading, invoices).
• Plan warehouse receiving schedules aligned with vessel and container arrivals.
• Oversee receiving, storage and order-picking, applying FEFO/FIFO as appropriate for imported products.
• Conduct regular inventory audits, investigate discrepancies, and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure compliance with storage, handling, and safety standards to preserve product quality.
• Plan and manage delivery schedules with 3PLs and contracted haulers.
• Monitor shipments, address delays, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Negotiate freight costs and monitor carrier performance.
• Prepare shipping documents (waybills, receipts, invoices).
• Identify route optimization opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service to align on order fulfillment.

Job Qualifications:

• Experience in FMCG, trading, or distribution industries is preferred


• Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a plus

Job Description:

Import and Freight Coordination

• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines to monitor inbound container shipments from point of origin to port and warehouse


• Facilitate timely customs clearance and ensure accuracy of required documentation, including import permits, bills of lading, and commercial invoices


• Plan warehouse receiving schedules in alignment with vessel and container arrival timelines

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee the receiving, storage, and order-picking process, applying FEFO/FIFO inventory principles appropriate to imported food and beverage products


• Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts, and investigate and resolve discrepancies


• Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, taking import lead times into consideration


• Ensure compliance with storage, handling, and safety standards to preserve product quality

Transport and Distribution

• Plan and manage delivery schedules in coordination with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and contracted haulers


• Monitor shipments in transit and proactively address delays to ensure on-time delivery


• Negotiate freight costs and monitor carrier performance


• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including waybills, delivery receipts, and invoices


• Identify opportunities for route optimization and shipment consolidation to improve cost efficiency

Cross-Functional Coordination and Reporting

• Coordinate with the Sales and Customer Service teams to align on order fulfillment priorities


• Prepare regular reports on key logistics performance indicators, including delivery performance, order accuracy, import lead times, and shipping costs


• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to logistics operations
