Responsibilities

• Guide internal and external stakeholders on shipping processes and timeframes.
• Maintain active communication with merchandise and planning teams.
• Oversee customs clearance and liaise with forwarders and customs.
• Generate reports for stakeholders.
• Escalate issues or delays.

WHAT IS A LOGISTICS COORDINATOR?

Our awesome client, a leading retail conglomerate based in Australia is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to be part of their Warehouse and Supply Chain team.

• In this role, you will be responsible for driving a process of import logistics management for a retail brand and you will be focusing on operations at the origin ports. You will also support the logistics function and merchandisers by communicating exceptions and delays to the stakeholders and minimizing additional charges.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES?

• Manage bookings of import orders from consolidation warehouse and individual suppliers.

• Communicate clearly to the buyingmerchandise teams on any delays or exceptions.

• Ensure communication with freight forwarders and suppliers is clear and concise.

• Manage shipping calendars to ensure a reasonable delivery timeframe sits with actual transit time.

• Understand the retail logistics process and provide guidance on shipping process and timeframe to internal and external stakeholders.

• Maintain an active communication channel with the merchandise and planning team – reviews wherever necessary.

• Oversee the customs clearance process, liaise with freight forwarders and custom agencies to resolve any issues and assist with any shipment delays.

• Generate reports to the internal and external stakeholders.

• Escalate any issues or delays.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• 3+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain roles

• Experience in the retail industry is highly preferred

• Preferably with international experience

• Strong experience with coordinating shipping and managing purchase orders

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel

• Experience with SAP

• Ability to communicate in Mandarin is preferred but not required
