Job summary

TVI Resource Development Phils., Inc. is seeking a logistics-focused professional to manage and optimize supply chain operations for mining projects through Balabag and Siana sites.

The role emphasizes supplier development, procurement negotiations and risk management across international freight and customs.

Qualifications

• Educational degree or professional credentials related to business management.
• Formal education in supply chain management and logistics is an advantage.
• Experience in logistics, importation, international freight forwarding, customs brokerage and supply chain operations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and expedite logistics transactions from origin, Customs clearance and delivery to respective mine site.
• Perform risk management and manage risks involved in logistics transactions for all operating and new mines.
• Proactively seek and develop new suppliers (brokers and freight forwarders) that fit Balabag, Siana Project and other mine site requirements.
• Perform strategic sourcing and negotiation for goods and services including international freight forwarding, Brokerage and related service.
• Supervise logistics transactions, negotiate canvass sheets and submit canvass sheets for approval and award to broker/freight forwarders.
• Keep updated with market trends, supply agreements benchmarking and best practices to improve value for money.

Qualifications

• Educational Degree/Professional Credentials related to Business Management.

• Formal Education - Supply Chain Management (PISM-DLS-CSB Program) in logistics and related supply chain is an advantage.

• Experience in logistics, importation, international freight forwarding, customs brokerage and supply chain operations is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monitor and expedite logistics transactions from origin, Customs clearance and delivery to respective mine site.

2. Perform risk management and manage the risks involve in logistics transaction to all operating and new mines.

3. Proactively seek and develop new suppliers (brokers and freight forwarders) that strategically fit for Balabag, Siana Project and other new mine site requirements.

4. Perform strategic sourcing and negotiation for goods and services including international freight forwarding, Brokerage and related service.

5. Supervise logistics transactions, negotiate, review canvass sheets and submit canvass sheet to approvers and award to broker/freight forwarders.

6. Continue to be update with latest market trends, Supply agreements bench marking, other best practices to improve and get value for money spending.

7. Work closely with end-user to ensure timely, cost-effective solutions to support new products and improvements.

8. Confirms with Purchasing Procedure and maintain cost saving initiatives.

9. Organize and anticipate material movement, review usage/consumption, assures no stock out of fast moving and stocking items.

10. Submit KPI reporting (month-end) and highlights areas for improvement.

11. Maintain Importation Register, Logistics Register, Supplier and Commodity Register.
