The role involves reviewing local and international purchases, developing new suppliers, and guiding strategic sourcing to achieve cost savings while maintaining supplier data and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Educational degree or professional credentials related to business management.
• Formal education in supply chain management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and execution of Supply Chain KPI targets (Strategic Procurement) with Logistics to reduce costs.
• Review local and international purchases; develop suppliers aligned with Balabag Project requirements.
• Supervise strategic sourcing and negotiation for goods and services including international freight forwarding.
• Review all purchase requisitions and assign commodities to buyers.
• Visit site for supply chain improvement plans and collaboration.
• Stay updated on market trends and benchmark supply agreements for value for money.
• Submit Training Calendar for approval by Manager and Superintendent.
• Submit KPI reports weekly.
• Ensure alignment with Purchasing Procedures and cost-saving initiatives.
• Organize material movement; review usage to prevent stockouts of fast-moving items.
• Maintain part number data for reordering maintenance commodities.
• Maintain Supplier and Commodity Registers.

FUNCTION: ASSIST IN PLANNING AND SUPERVISE EXECUTION, STRONG NEGOTIATION TO MAJOR PURCHASES (EXISTING & NEW PROJECTS)

Qualifications

• Educational Degree / Professional Credentials related to Business Management.

• Other formal Education - Supply Chain Management (PISM-DLS-CSB Program) is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in the planning and execution of Supply Chain Department KPI Targets (Strategic Procurement), and collaborate with Logistics, to implement cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives.

2. Review Local & International Purchases while proactively seeking and developing new suppliers that strategically fit Balabag Project requirements.

3. Supervise the team proper execution of strategic sourcing and negotiation for Goods and Services including International freight forwarding, Brokerage and related service.

4. Review all Purchase requisitions, assign commodity to buyers.

5. Visit site for Supply Chain improvement plans and collaboration.

6. Continue to be update with latest market trends, Supply agreements bench marking, other best practices to improve and get value for money spending.

7. Submit Training Calendar for approval by Manager and Superintendent.

8. Submit Key Performance Reports (KPI) weekly.

9. Confirms with Purchasing Procedure and maintain cost saving initiatives.

10. Organize and anticipate material movement, review usage/consumption, assures no stock out of fast moving and stocking items.

11. Maintain all related part number data for organize reordering of maintenance related commodities.

12. Maintain Supplier Register and Commodity Register database.
