Job summary

Unity Communications in the Philippines is seeking a Technical Support Specialist focused on Linux command line. This hybrid role involves assisting medical professionals with software issues, maintaining Linux servers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, compliant software solutions.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in service/technical support, solid Linux skills, and familiarity with Windows/macOS, databases, and basic scripting.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years in a service/technical support environment supporting Linux servers (Red Hat/CentOS a plus).
• Experience with Windows and OS X operating systems.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL; ability to write complex queries.
• Broad understanding of LAN and WAN technologies.
• Shell scripting experience (BASH, Python).
• Strong troubleshooting and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service with professionalism under pressure.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Ability to multi-task under dynamic conditions with minimal supervision.
• Experience with ticketing systems (Salesforce, Desk, Jira, Confluence)
• Exposure to AWS and application servers is a plus.
