Job summary

Unity Communications in Manila/Parañaque region seeks a Technical Support Engineer to resolve software issues for medical professionals, with a focus on Linux-based servers and deployment at client sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• One to two years of experience in a service/technical support environment supporting Linux servers.
• Experience with Windows and OS X operating systems.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Broad understanding of LAN and WAN technologies.
• Shell scripting experience (BASH, Python).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and proactive problem-solving.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work under dynamic conditions.
• Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Salesforce, Desk, Jira, Confluence) preferred.
• Exposure to AWS and application servers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client problems via email and phone.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve portal, transport, and network issues.
• Manage multiple client cases and provide regular progress updates.
• Enter client data and case history into the tracking database.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and enhancements.
• Assist with building Linux-based servers for deployment at client sites.
• Help customers install and configure network and peripheral systems.
