MTDM Trading in Metro Manila is seeking a skilled Customs Compliance Specialist to manage interactions with government agencies for the release of shipments. You will advise management on import/export restrictions, tariff systems, quotas, and cost-saving memos related to customs.
You will monitor document readiness, coordinate with agencies like BOC, BAI, and DEA, prepare Certificates of Health and other documents, and assist with budget and expense reporting.
You are responsible for transacting with various government agencies to facilitate the release of incoming shipments. You provide professional advice to management on import and export restrictions, tariff systems, quotas, cost-saving memos, and other customs-related matters.
Monitor and communicate if all necessary documents for the release of shipments are in place for proper tracking
Check the completeness of documents for office filing and archiving purposes
Transact with BAI (Bureau of Animal Industry) for securing approval of eRFI (Electronic Request for Inspection) and ensure documents for submission are correct, complete and validated
Prepare and collate Health Certificate and other necessary documents for submission with BAI
Facilitate application of MAV and other cost-saving documents for all business of MTDM
Update records in company Google Sheets
Prepare cash requests for the applications of permits and other documents such as SPS, eTrade, eTracc, MAV, TABs
Prepare expense reports related to the release of shipments
Assist with budget preparation and administration
Provide assistance with filing of documents and extend assistance during examination with Bureau of Customs, DEA, BAI and other government agencies
Knowledgeable in Import-export policies and Laws
Familiar with process and guidelines of government agencies (BOC, BAI, DEA, NMIS, etc)
Strong communication skills
Good analytical and Technical Skills
Keen and strong data analysis
Familiar with Microsoft office and Google forms
Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration or any business-related course
Licensed and Accredited Broker
At least 2 years' experience in the related field
