Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a sales and business development professional responsible for achieving sales targets, maintaining core business, developing new customers and markets, and ensuring no bad debts is the basic function of this job.

Key duties include generating sales for a portfolio, developing business from core and new customers, preparing costing sheets to ensure gross profit, analyzing market trends and competitor moves, handling customer inquiries and claims, and guiding junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Generate sales for a portfolio of accounts to achieve annual sales targets.
• Develop new business from core customers and existing/new customers.
• Prepare costing sheets for each product to ensure gross profit.
• Analyze market trends and competitors’ movements to provide new business ideas.
• Attend customer inquiries and claims independently.
• Guide junior staff to carry out daily sales activities.

JOB PURPOSES

Sales and Business Development

• To generate sales for a portfolio of accounts to achieve overall annual sales targets for the division.
• To develop new business from core customers / existing customers as well as new customers.
• To be able to simulate and prepare a costing sheet of each products handling to ensure able to achieve Gross Profit.
• To analyze Market trend and competitors’ movement, provide new business idea periodically.
• To be able to attend customer inquiries and claim independently.
• To be able to guide junior staff to carry out daily sales activities.

Customer and Supplier Relationship Management

• To manage and maintain good relationships with existing customers and suppliers.
• To provide good hospitality to supplier/customer from overseas when they visit Malaysia.

Operational Efficiency

• To demonstrate consistency in job performance and time management.
• To ensure uninterrupted operations in the absence of personnel.
• To manage customer’s credit limit, accounts payable and ensure on-time collection.
• To monitor and manage customers’ forecast & inventories to ensure the customer demand can be met to minimize the warehouse rental cost and prevent occurrence of over stock.
• Resolve customer issues in timely and accurate manner.

Risk Management

• To manage risk by understanding all the terms and conditions stated in quotation from supplier/to customer.
