Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries ensuring accuracy in the accounting system.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Maintain accounts payable/receivable records for accuracy.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities with schedules and docs.
• Monitor fixed asset records including depreciation schedules.
• Assist with tax filings and statutory compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments on financial transactions and budgets.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Junior Accountant to support our finance team. This role will provide support to the day-to-day operations and contribute to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring transactions are accurately reflected in the accounting system.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable records to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing schedules and necessary documentation.
• Monitor and maintain fixed asset records, including asset capitalization and depreciation schedules.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, government-mandated reports, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial transactions, budget concerns, and accounting requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements by providing requested schedules and documentation.
• Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to maintain accurate financial records.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency and controls.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, accounting technology, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, or related accounting functions.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
