Weare seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Junior Accountant to supportour finance team. This role will providesupport to the day-to-day operations and contribute to maintaining the accuracyand integrity of the company's financial information.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Prepareand record journal entries, ensuring transactions are accurately reflected inthe accounting system.
- Performmonthly bank reconciliations and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assistin the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements andmanagement reports.
- Maintainand reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable records to ensureaccuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Supportmonth-end and year-end closing activities by preparing schedules and necessarydocumentation.
- Monitorand maintain fixed asset records, including asset capitalization anddepreciation schedules.
- Assistin the preparation and filing of tax returns, government-mandated reports, andstatutory compliance requirements.
- Ensurethe accuracy and completeness of accounting records and supporting documents.
- Coordinatewith internal departments regarding financial transactions, budget concerns,and accounting requirements.
- Assistwith internal and external audit requirements by providing requested schedulesand documentation.
- Identifydiscrepancies and recommend corrective actions to maintain accurate financialrecords.
- Supportprocess improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency and controls.
- Performother accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’sdegree in accountancy, accounting technology, or a related field.
- 1–2years of experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, orrelated accounting functions.
- Knowledgeof accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and reconciliationprocesses.
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
- Stronganalytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Highattention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Abilityto work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills.
