We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactiveJunior Accountantto join our finance team. In this role, you will handle essential accounting functions, includingcollections and expense management, while supporting compliance with tax and business permit requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable & Collections:Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer invoices, process payments, and reconcile collection records.
- Expense Management:Record, classify, and verify company expenses; ensure proper documentation and approval in compliance with company policies.
- Tax Compliance:Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns—includingExpanded Withholding Tax (EWT), 1601 Series, VAT, and Income Tax.
- Business Permits & Licenses:Help in the timely renewal and application oflocal business permits (Mayor’s Permit, BIR Registration, etc.)and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Financial Reporting:Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and account reconciliations.
- General Ledger Maintenance:Assist in journal entries, month-end closing, and maintaining accurate and organized accounting records.
- Coordination:Liaise with external auditors, BIR officers, and local government units as needed.
- Process Improvement:Contribute to streamlining accounting procedures and implementing best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree inAccountancy, Finance, or related field(CPA or CPA board passer is a plus).
- At least1–2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or auditing environment.
- Must have hands-on experience in:
- Managingcollections and accounts receivable
- Recording and monitoringexpenses
- Preparing and filingBIR tax forms (1601-EQ, 1601-F, 2550Q, 2550M, 1701, etc.)
- Processingbusiness permit renewals(Mayor’s Permit, Sanitary Permit, etc.)
- Proficient inMicrosoft Exceland accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar).
- Familiarity withPhilippine tax regulationsand compliance procedures.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.
- Willing to work on-site in Binondo, Manila.
