Job summary

Finastra is seeking a Technical Engineer in Manila to serve as the primary interface between clients and the Universal Banking Customer Support organization. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, provide technical guidance, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure a world-class customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in technical support or customer-facing technical roles in enterprise software/fintech.
• Experience with C++ or Java is required.
• Working knowledge of SQL and/or C# is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests, issues, or assistance to enable proper product use.
• Understand issues technically and replicate scenarios in Finastra environments.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and provide solutions or detailed analyses.
• Update clients on progress and coordinate with other teams for timely resolutions.
• Participate in client meetings (phone/WebEx) to accelerate investigations and maintain client satisfaction.
• Provide temporary bug fixes when needed and validate defects thoroughly.
• Contribute to knowledge base with solutions and scripts when appropriate.
