Job summary

Finastra is seeking a Technical Engineer in Manila to join the Universal Banking Customer Support team. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical guidance where needed.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, has at least 2 years in enterprise software support, and demonstrates strong English communication. Expect hybrid work options and a focus on customer satisfaction and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or related courses.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in technical support, application support, or a customer-facing technical support role within enterprise software, banking, financial services, or fintech environments.
• Experience with C/C++ is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests and help them utilize the product effectively.
• Understand reported issues and replicate scenarios in Finastra environments.
• Perform technical investigations with root cause analysis and provide feasible solutions.
• Update clients on progress and ensure timely resolution, focusing on client satisfaction.
• Participate in client meetings and WebEx sessions to speed up investigation.
• Provide temporary bug fixes and validate defects for resolution.
• Build simple scripts with senior colleagues when necessary; document solutions for the database.
• Escalate issues to Team Leader or Manager when needed.
