Job summary

Octal Philippines Inc. is seeking an IT Technical Support Specialist – ERP/POS to provide technical assistance and operational support. The role focuses on helping users with ERP-related concerns, troubleshooting system errors, and coordinating with the ERP provider to resolve issues.

You will also maintain computer equipment, ensure network reliability, and help users maximize ERP functionality. Onsite work at El Camino, Ema Town Center, Meycauayan, Bulacan is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or related field.
• ERP/ERP systems experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with inventory management, purchasing, sales, and reporting.
• Experience handling user support requests and user training.

Responsibilities

• Support ERP modules and workflows for sales, inventory, purchasing, billing, and reporting.
• Assist users with transactions, system navigation, data entry, and troubleshooting.
• Setup user accounts, password resets, permissions, and access management.
• Investigate and resolve basic software errors, login issues, and system access problems.
• Troubleshoot computers, printers, barcode scanners, POS terminals, and other devices.
• Monitor network connectivity and local network performance for ERP operations.
• Document issues, steps, and resolutions in a ticketing system or log.
• Coordinate with ERP provider/tech team to escalate unresolved issues.
• Provide user guidance and basic training on ERP features and SOPs.

The successful candidate will assist users with ERP-related concerns, troubleshoot system errors, support day-to-day business operations, and coordinate with the ERP provider or development team to resolve technical issues.

The role also involves maintaining computer equipment, ensuring reliable network connectivity, and helping users maximize the functionality of the ERP system.

• Graduate of BS Information Technology or a related course.
• experience in IT support or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems, printers, and basic networking.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Patient and service-oriented when assisting users with different levels of technical knowledge.
• Willing to work onsite at El Camino, Ema Town Center, Meycauayan, Bulacan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support ERP modules and workflows related to sales, inventory, purchasing, billing, and reporting, as applicable.
• Assist users with transactions, system navigation, data entry, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with user account setup, password resets, permissions, and access management.
• Investigate and resolve basic software errors, login issues, transaction problems, and system access concerns.
• Troubleshoot computers, printers, barcode scanners, POS terminals, and other connected devices.
• Monitor internet connectivity and local network performance to help ensure uninterrupted ERP operations.
• Document reported issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a support log or ticketing system.
• Coordinate with the ERP provider /technical team to escalade unresolved issues.
• Provide user guidance and basic training on ERP features and standard operating procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting ERP, POS, inventory, sales, or accounting systems.
• Basic understanding of inventory management, purchasing, sales transactions, and business reporting.
• Familiarity with databases, SQL, or report generation is an advantage.
• Experience handling support requests, incident logs, and user training.
