The IT Technical Support is responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support to ensure the smooth operation of the company’s computer systems, network, and other technology-related equipment. This role involves diagnosing hardware and software issues, installing and configuring systems, and ensuring optimal performance of IT resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot system errors and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Assist in setting up user accounts, passwords, and access rights.
- Monitor system performance and ensure IT security and data protection measures are implemented.
- Coordinate with vendors or IT service providers for repairs, upgrades, or technical services.
- Maintain an updated inventory of IT assets and software licenses.
- Support staff with system usage, email setup, and connectivity concerns.
- Prepare and maintain documentation of IT procedures and issue logs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and basic networking (LAN/WAN).
- Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and software installation.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
