Job summary

Unitra Maritime Manila Inc. is seeking an IT professional responsible for provisioning, installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems and internet services across the organization.

You will oversee network and server operations, ensure security, maintain licenses, backups, and helpdesk support for staff. This on-site role requires hands-on troubleshooting and coordination with management for IT projects.

Qualifications

• Provides IT support to the organization and troubleshoots technical problems.
• Oversee technical, operational, and procedural support services for existing or new information systems.
• Maintains security measures including licenses, firewall, and antivirus systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides IT Support to the organization and troubleshoots any technical problems that may arise.
• Oversee technical, operational, and procedural support services to UMMI employees during application of existing, or implementation of new information system.
• Secures stable internet connection in all company computer facilities and telecommunication lines.
• Ensures an efficient performance of the server at all times.
• Responsible in keeping the server room clean and organized at all times
• Maintains an updated operating system, software and hardware in all company computer facilities.
• Oversee the development of UMMI PDS system for continuous improvement of the company’s IT related operations.
• Ensure security and confidentiality of information and data by setting up an effective system of access and back-up.
• Ensures system security from unlawful activities by keeping all licenses, firewall security, and anti-virus programs always updated and functioning properly.
• Ensures that the company is using only the legal version of computer applications for its operations.
• Checks inventory and quarterly reports regarding IT matters ready for submission to the Management.
• Conducts assessment on a regular basis and plan for upgrading, replacement and disposal of office equipment.
• Keep track of the installation, replacement and purchasing of computers, printers, telephones and any IT related materials according to IT staff’s reports.
• Oversee good working condition of office fixtures like air conditioning units, lights, and other office equipment such as copier, scanner, laminator, etc.
• Guide software developer for the creation and development of simple programs as may be requested by the Management.
• Performs other Administrative duties that the Management may assign from time to time.
