About the role
The IT Asset Management (ITAM) Assistant is responsible for executing day-to-day IT asset tracking, inventory maintenance, and lifecycle management activities. The role focuses on ensuring accurate documentation, standardization, and governance of IT asset processes, including inventory records, asset handling procedures, and compliance guidelines. This position supports audit readiness and operational efficiency by maintaining structured documentation and enabling EUCU engineers to focus on monitoring, compliance and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field (preferred)
Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in IT support, IT asset management, or related roles
Basic understanding of IT assets (Laptops, desktops and peripherals)
Experience in documentation creation (inventory records, SOPs, and guidelines)
Knowledgeable in MS Office / Excel (for tracking and reporting)
Familiarity with IT asset management or inventory systems
Basic knowledge of IT support (hardware, OS, troubleshooting)
Strong attention to details and organization skill
Ability to enforce standardization and process compliance
Good communication and coordination skills
Key responsibilities
Maintains and updates IT asset inventory records (laptops and desktops)
Tracks full asset lifecycle (procurement, deployment, transfer, repair, retirement, disposal)
Performs asset tagging, re-tagging, and physical verification of IT equipment
Conducts periodic inventory audits and reconciliation with system records
Documents all asset movement (assignment, transfer, return, disposal)
Creates and maintains documentation related to IT asset inventory, standardization, and operational guidelines
Develops and updates SOPs, checklists, and templates for asset management processes
Prepares asset-related reports and audit artifacts (logs, records, ownership tracking)
Tracks warranty status, vendor repairs, and service records
Assists in basic Level 1 IT support (hardware and software)
