This role is pivotal to our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records and fixed assets management. As Inventory Accounting/Auditor, you will play a crucial part in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, supporting our financial reporting processes, and providing strategic insights into our asset management practices. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of inventory records across all locations
Perform detailed reviews of fixed asset registers and conduct physical verifications to confirm asset existence and condition
Identify and investigate discrepancies between recorded inventory and physical counts, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions
Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing inventory and fixed asset valuations, obsolescence assessments, and compliance observations
Monitor inventory movement, including receiving, storage, and disposal procedures, to maintain control and prevent losses
Review and validate fixed asset additions, disposals, depreciation calculations, and reclassifications for accuracy and proper authorization
Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to implement inventory management best practices and strengthen internal controls
Support the preparation of financial statements by providing accurate inventory valuation and fixed asset data
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in inventory accounting, fixed asset management, or internal audit functions
Strong knowledge of inventory valuation methods (FIFO, LIFO, weighted average) and fixed asset accounting principles
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to identify discrepancies and assess audit findings
Demonstrated ability to conduct physical inventories and fixed asset verifications independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise audit reports
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred: Previous experience in the marketing, FMCG, or retail industry
