Coronis-Health-LL is seeking an Inpatient Coder for a full-time position to translate patient records into ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes for hospital stays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of actual inpatient coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding systems.
• Ability to analyze complex medical records and translate them into codes.
• Clear communication with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing patient records and medical charts to extract diagnoses and procedures.
• Assigning accurate codes using ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS.
• Ensuring coding practices comply with CMS, The Joint Commission and relevant regulations.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses and staff to obtain missing documentation.
• Auditing coded records for quality and compliance.
• Staying current with coding updates and guidelines.
