Job summary

HKJ is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and strengthen its human resources function across multiple sites in the Philippines. You will build policies, oversee full-cycle HR operations, and support growth while driving strategic HR initiatives and day‑to‑day activities.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong knowledge of Philippine labor law, and the ability to oversee payroll and benefits across a multi-site workforce. Onsite work in BGC, Taguig City is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HRM, Psychology, Business Admin or related field.
• At least 5 years of solid HR generalist or HR management experience.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of Philippine labor law and statutory compliance.
• Prior HR experience in construction, logistics, manufacturing, or multi-site settings preferred.
• Comfortable working in a bilingual English corporate environment.
• Willing to work onsite in BGC, Taguig City with coordination across provincial sites.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Strategic mindset paired with hands-on execution.
• Proficiency in HRIS/payroll systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment and staffing across all business units, from planning to onboarding.
• Develop, implement, and continually improve HR policies and the employee handbook.
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Manage employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary processes with legal coordination.
• Design and administer performance management systems, including appraisals.
• Plan and roll out training and development programs aligned with business needs.
• Maintain accurate HR records and reporting for senior leadership.
• Advise management on compensation structures, benefits administration, and org design.
• Ensure HR practices comply with Philippine labor law across all sites.
• Mentor and provide guidance to HR staff, including the HR Officer.

About the role

The HR Manager will lead and strengthen the company's human resource function, working closely with the HR Officer and senior leadership to build out policies, oversee full-cycle HR operations, and support the company's continued growth. This role calls for a hands‑on leader capable of driving both strategic HR initiatives and day‑to‑day operations across a diverse, multi‑site workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment and staffing across all business units, from manpower planning to onboarding
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, the employee handbook, and internal procedures
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with statutory requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR, DOLE)
• Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes in coordination with department heads and legal counsel
• Design and administer performance management systems, including appraisals and merit reviews
• Plan and roll out training and development programs aligned with business needs
• Maintain accurate 201 files, HR records, and reporting for senior leadership
• Advise management on compensation structures, benefits administration, and organizational design
• Ensure HR practices comply with Philippine labor law and company policy across all sites, including quarry and batching plant operations
• Mentor and provide guidance to HR staff, including the HR Officer

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 5 years of solid HR generalist or HR management experience
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity, ideally having built or scaled an HR function
• Strong working knowledge of Philippine labor law and statutory compliance (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR, DOLE)
• Prior HR experience in construction, logistics, manufacturing, or another multi‑industry or multi‑site organization is preferred
• Comfortable working in a bilingual (English) corporate environment
• Amenable to working onsite in BGC, Taguig City, with occasional coordination across provincial sites
• Strong leadership and people management skills

• Proficiency in HRIS/payroll systems and MS Office (Excel in particular)
