Job summary

Huayu & KJ Equipment Leasing Corp is seeking an accomplished HR Director to lead the company’s HR strategy and governance while partnering with senior leadership. This leader will oversee the HR Manager and team, drive recruitment, payroll, and compliance, and shape workforce planning across sites.

The role requires a strong track record in multi-industry HR, deep Philippine labor law expertise, and experience advising C-suite on organizational design and risk.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of progressive HR experience, including ≥5 years in senior leadership.
• Proven track record in multi-industry conglomerates.
• Deep knowledge of Philippine labor law, DOLE processes, and union matters.
• Experience advising C-suite on workforce strategy.
• Experience in construction, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial operations preferred.
• Bilingual English; willingness to travel to provincial sites; onsite in BGC, Taguig City.

Responsibilities

• Set the overall HR strategy, structure, and governance framework for the group, aligned with business objectives.
• Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and people-related risk.
• Oversee and mentor the HR Manager and HR team, ensuring consistent execution of recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and compliance across all sites.
• Lead compensation and benefits strategy, including salary structures, incentive programs, and market benchmarking.
• Own labor relations strategy and represent the company in high‑level disputes, DOLE matters, or union‑related concerns.
• Drive leadership development, succession planning, and organizational culture initiatives across the group.
• Establish and monitor HR budgets, headcount planning, and workforce cost management.
• Ensure full compliance with Philippine labor law and statutory requirements across all business units, including provincial quarry and batching plant sites.
• Lead change management for organizational restructuring, mergers, or new business unit rollouts.
• Present HR metrics, risks, and recommendations directly to the CEO and board as needed.

About the role

This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role for a seasoned HR executive who can operate at both the strategic and executive‑advisory level while overseeing the HR Manager and the broader HR team on execution.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is a strong advantage
• At least 10-15 years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior HR leadership role (HR Director, Head of HR, or equivalent)
• Proven track record building or leading HR functions in a multi‑industry, conglomerate, or group‑of‑companies setup
• Deep expertise in Philippine labor law, statutory compliance, and labor relations, including direct experience handling DOLE cases or union matters
• Demonstrated experience advising C‑suite or board‑level executives on organizational and workforce strategy
• Experience in construction, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial operations strongly preferred
• Comfortable operating in a bilingual (English) corporate environment
• Willing to travel occasionally to provincial sites and work onsite in BGC, Taguig City
• Executive presence and strong stakeholder management skills
• Strategic planning and organizational design expertise
