Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 4+ years of HR Generalist/Officer experience.
  • Experience in a BPO, shared services, healthcare, or international business environment is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience handling people relations and performance management matters.
  • Experience managing recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Solid understanding of Philippine labor laws and employment practices.
  • Experience supporting payroll, benefits, leave, and documentation processes.
  • Strong communication with staff, managers, leadership, and overseas stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and cloud HR systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Responsibilities

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced HR professional who can help strengthen our people operations, support our staff members and managers, and ensure our HR practices remain organized, compliant, and aligned with the needs of the business.

This is a remote position.

Position Overview

The HR Officer will be responsible for supporting the full staff members lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through performance management, staff members relations, and offboarding.

This role will serve as a trusted HR point of contact for staff members and managers, providing practical guidance on workplace concerns, performance matters, policies, and HR processes. The position will also work closely with local and international stakeholders to support recruitment, payroll coordination, people administration, compliance, and people-related initiatives.

The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, discreet, and confident in handling sensitive matters while balancing people advocacy, business needs, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
People Relations & HR Advisory
  • Act as the first point of contact for staff members and managers on HR-related matters.

  • Provide practical and professional guidance on concerns, workplace issues, policies, and procedures.

  • Manage staff member relations matters, including performance concerns, disciplinary processes, show-cause/NTE documentation, formal warnings, performance improvement plans, and administrative hearings.

  • Support managers and leaders in addressing performance, attendance, conduct, and behavioral concerns.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HR processes are handled fairly, consistently, confidentially, and in accordance with company policies.

  • Assist with staff member grievances and workplace concerns through appropriate resolution processes.

  • Provide guidance to managers on appropriate and consistent HR practices.

Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, from job posting and candidate screening through interviews, offer preparation, and onboarding.

  • Partner with hiring managers and overseas stakeholders to understand staffing requirements and hiring priorities.

  • Coordinate candidate communications and recruitment schedules.

  • Prepare contracts, onboarding documentation, and requirements.

  • Coordinate requirements, equipment, system access, and other onboarding arrangements.

  • Ensure new staff members have a smooth, organized, and engaging onboarding experience.

  • Maintain accurate recruitment and onboarding records.

HR Administration & People Lifecycle
  • Maintain staff member records and ensure HR documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date.

  • Manage staff member movements, including promotions, transfers, role changes, salary adjustments, schedule changes, and employment status changes.

  • Prepare HR letters, employment certifications, contracts, notices, and other staff members documentation.

  • Monitor staff member milestones and ensure required documentation is completed on time.

  • Coordinate staff member exits, resignations, clearances, and final engagement requirements.

  • Maintain organized and confidential staff member files.

Payroll, Benefits & Leave Administration
  • Coordinate with Finance and management to support accurate and timely payroll processing.

  • Review and provide HR inputs for salary changes, allowances, deductions, reimbursements, and other payroll related matters.

  • Maintain and monitor staff member leave records and entitlements.

  • Support the administration of company benefits and staff member allowances.

Performance Management
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective performance management processes.

  • Partner with managers and leaders on KPIs, performance reviews, coaching, and performance improvement plans.

  • Monitor and document performance-related concerns and ensure appropriate HR action is taken.

  • Support managers in providing constructive feedback and addressing performance gaps.

  • Assist with annual performance review and salary review processes.

  • Maintain appropriate performance documentation and records.

HR Policies & Compliance
  • Assist in developing, reviewing, updating, and implementing HR policies and procedures.

  • Ensure HR practices are aligned with applicable labor laws and regulations.

  • Stay informed of relevant labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.

  • Help ensure consistent application of company policies across teams.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and proper handling of staff members' information.

  • Support HR compliance initiatives, audits, and documentation requirements.

  • Provide practical HR guidance while escalating complex or high-risk matters when appropriate.

People Operations & Engagement
  • Support people engagement activities, company events, and internal people initiatives.

  • Assist in addressing staff members' experience and workplace concerns.

  • Prepare HR reports, people data, dashboards, and management updates as required.

  • Monitor and maintain accurate people information and HR metrics.

  • Coordinate with local and international stakeholders on HR and people-related matters.

  • Support the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems.

  • Assist with other HR and administrative initiatives as the organization continues to grow.

ABOUT YOU

You are an organized, approachable and dependable HR professional who can balance people advocacy, business needs and compliance.

You will ideally have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • At least 4+ years of relevant HR Generalist, HR Officer, or similar HR experience.

  • Experience in a BPO, shared services, outsourcing, healthcare, or international business environment is preferred.

  • Hands-on experience handling people relations and performance management matters.

  • Experience managing recruitment and onboarding processes.

  • Solid understanding of Philippine labor laws and employment practices.

  • Experience supporting payroll, benefits, leave, and documentation processes.

  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to interact with staff members, managers, leadership, and overseas stakeholders.

  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive people matters.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment with minimal supervision.

  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace and familiarity with cloud-based business systems.

  • Experience with HRIS, recruitment platforms, or other HR technology is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with AI tools and technology-driven HR processes is a plus.
