About the role
The HR Generalist will support the delivery of effective human resources services across the organisation, acting as a key point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters. This role will be responsible for supporting the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, and compliance initiatives. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a practical understanding of HR practices, and the ability to balance operational HR support with continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, and onboarding activities.
Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive employee experience.
Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR systems and documentation are kept up to date.
Support employee relations matters, including meeting scheduling, workplace concerns, and disciplinary processes when required.
Coordinate training and development activities to support employee growth and capability building.
Assist with attendance management, payroll processes, benefits administration, and employee data management.
Ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices.
Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and insights to support business decision-making.
Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and organisational initiatives.
About you
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in a human resources generalist or similar HR role.
Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment practices, and workplace legislation.
Experience supporting recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Experience working with HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications.
