MUJI Philippines Corp. is seeking an HR Assistant Manager to support growth across 10–20 retail locations by focusing on employee relations management for store staff and driving organizational development.
The role bridges head office and store operations to reduce turnover and enhance customer service. The position requires 5+ years of HR experience in multi-unit environments such as retail or hospitality, plus strong communication and labor law knowledge.
To support our growth across 10–20 retail locations, the HR Assistant Manager will primarily focus on employee relations management for store-based staff while driving organizational development.
The position will be responsible for bridge-building between the head office and the store operations, creating a work environment that reduces turnover and enhances customer service quality.
Employee Relations & Labor Management
Monitor the condition of store staff and conduct interviews in coordination with Block & Store Managers.
Ensure strict compliance with code of conduct and labor regulations within the acceptable timeframe.
Coordinates timekeeping concerns of the assigned stores , and secure the accurate feedback in coordination with the Payroll team.
Organizational Development (OD) & Engagement
Lead improvement actions based on survey results to address issues at the store level.
Identify future leaders and develop through learning programs.
Recruitment Support
Streamline recruitment for each store (e.g., selecting recruitment media, supporting job posting creation).
Support the interview and onboarding process for full-time roles, such as Store Manager or Assistant Manager candidates.
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources Management, Business or other relevant courses
5+ years of HR experience. Practical experience in multi-unit industries such as retail, or hospitality is highly preferred.
Strong communication skills to engage with a diverse workforce (full-time, part-time, etc.).
Accurate knowledge of Labor Standards Laws and variable working hour systems.
A “field-first” approach with the mobility to visit stores and solve problems on-site.
Experience supporting store openings or organizational transitions.
Knowledge of local recruitment markets relevant to the store locations.
