Job summary

Polystar Manpower Services in Paranaque City, Metro Manila, seeks a Housekeeping Operation Manager to oversee all housekeeping activities for a premium hospitality establishment. This full-time role focuses on maintaining exceptional cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction while guiding a dedicated team across the property's rooms and public areas.

You will implement policies, monitor health and safety protocols, manage stock and budgets, and train staff to uphold high standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in housekeeping operations or management within a hospitality setting
• Proven leadership skills to supervise and develop a team
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures and standards

• Sound understanding of health, safety, sanitation and compliance requirements
• Proficiency with relevant property management software or systems

Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking a Housekeeping Operation Manager to join our team in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that will be pivotal in overseeing and managing all housekeeping operations within our hospitality establishment. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction. You will lead a dedicated team of housekeeping staff, implement operational procedures, and maintain excellence across all areas of the property. This position plays a critical role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the reputation of our hospitality operations.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of housekeeping staff to maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with company standards and guest expectations
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Manage inventory of housekeeping supplies, equipment, and materials, ensuring cost-effective procurement and stock control
• Schedule and coordinate housekeeping staff activities, including daily assignments, shift rotations, and leave management
• Address guest complaints and maintenance issues promptly, liaising with other departments to ensure swift resolution
• Maintain detailed records and reports on housekeeping operations, staff performance, and quality metrics
• Implement and monitor health, safety, and sanitation protocols across all housekeeping operations
• Conduct staff training programmes covering housekeeping techniques, guest service excellence, and workplace safety
• Monitor labour costs, departmental budgets, and operational efficiencies to support financial performance
• Collaborate with front office, maintenance, and management teams to optimise guest satisfaction and operational efficiency

What we're looking for

• Proven experience of 5+ years in housekeeping operations or management within a hospitality setting, preferably in a hotel or resort environment
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise, motivate, and develop a diverse team of housekeeping staff
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, and best practices in the hospitality industry
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Sound understanding of health, safety, sanitation, and workplace compliance requirements
• Proficiency in relevant property management software and systems, with strong computer literacy
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff at all levels
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges
• Physical capability to perform duties, including regular movement around the property and occasional lifting of materials
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Preferred: Hospitality management certification or equivalent professional qualification
