Lead the launch of a new Export Freight Forwarding Division within a growing integrated logistics group.
This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a new business unit backed by an established logistics organization with existing operations in Licensed Customs Brokerage, Trailer Trucking, and Private Container Yard (CY) services. As the Head of Export Freight Forwarding, you will drive the division's growth by developing business strategies, building a high-performing team, acquiring key exporter accounts, and establishing long-term partnerships with shipping lines, overseas agents, and logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development
- Establish and grow the Export Freight Forwarding Division.
- Develop strategies to acquire exporter clients and corporate accounts.
- Build long-term relationships with exporters, manufacturers, logistics providers, and overseas partners.
- Identify new market opportunities and expand the company's export portfolio.

Commercial Management
- Negotiate freight rates with shipping lines, overseas agents, and logistics partners.
- Prepare competitive quotations and pricing strategies.
- Manage profitability and achieve revenue targets.
- Develop new logistics solutions for customers.

Operations Management
- Oversee export bookings, documentation, vessel scheduling, cargo movement, and customer service.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with export regulations and international shipping requirements.
- Maintain high service quality and operational efficiency.

Leadership
- Recruit, train, and lead the Export Freight Forwarding team.
- Build departments for Sales, Documentation, Customer Service, and Operations.
- Establish KPIs and promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Integration
- Integrate export forwarding with the company's existing Customs Brokerage, Trailer Trucking, and Private Container Yard operations.
- Develop solutions that improve container utilization, reduce empty repositioning, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
- At least 5–10 years of experience in the international shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics industry.
- Experience working in an international shipping line, freight forwarder, NVOCC, or multinational logistics company.
- Exposure to both operations and commercial/sales functions is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of export freight forwarding, vessel booking, documentation, and shipping line coordination.
- Existing relationships with exporters, shipping lines, freight forwarders, or overseas agents are an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and business development skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and grow a new business unit.
