Job summary

Inteluck Corporation in Makati, Philippines, is seeking an experienced freight forwarder supervisor to manage daily sea, air and road operations, including import/export, warehousing, and KPI tracking.

You will coordinate shipments with customers, carriers, and brokers, ensure documents are accurate, and drive new business development while maintaining strong client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• 5–8 years of experience in import/export or freight forwarding.
• Experience in big global freight forwarding companies.
• Knowledge of IMPEX and global forwarding processes.
• Knowledge of local regulations.
• Good coordination with forwarders and brokers.
• Client-oriented with sales or customer service experience.
• Experience in business development.
• Experience with trucking, airline, and ocean deliveries.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, planning, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent English or communication skills are a plus.
• Experience handling general cargo shipments and related issues.
• Ability to engage with partners (shipping lines, cargo owners, brokers).
• Ability to find and communicate with new clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily freight forwarding activities across sea, air, and road including import/export and warehousing.
• Follow up with carriers/agents on shipment arrival dates.
• Coordinate shipments with customers and shipping lines.
• Prepare shipping instructions and queries with carriers.
• Maintain accuracy of invoices, bills of lading, shipping statements, and KPIs.
• Deal with shippers, consignees, and broker requirements.
• Coordinate with trucks, customs brokers, and partners.
• Engage with agents worldwide to optimize processes.
• Explore new business development opportunities.
• Maintain good relations with shipping lines and clients.
• Train and develop staff to reach high performance; ensure cross-training is documented.
• Maintain customer focus and respond to inquiries per guidelines.
• Own and resolve complaints and queries proactively.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage daily freight forwarding activities of the company to include all sea, air, road operations import/export process and warehousing.
• Handling operations, daily follow up with Carrier/Agents for shipments arrival date.
• Follow up shipping instructions and coordinate shipments with Customers.
• Prepare shipping instructions and coordinate shipments with shipping lines.
• Maintaining the accuracy of invoices, bills of lading, shipping statements, and the achievement of KPIs
• Able to deal with shippers/consignees requirements
• Able to deal with truckers and customs clearance brokers
• Able to deal with agents worldwide
• Explore new fields of business development
• Maintaining good relations with shipping Lines and clients
• Develops people to their highest potential through necessary training and performance management
• Responsible for ensuring cross training for all positions is complete and documented
• Maintaining customers focus on all times and answers to customers’ inquiries using the standards guidelines

Job Requirements

• Must possess Bachelor's/College Degree in any course
• Has more than 5-8 years’ experience in the business-related work experience specifically in the import and export business / trucking and deliveries
• Prior experience in big global freight forwarding companies
• Knowledgeable in the IMPEX process, prioritize the ones with is familiar with global forwarding process
• Knowledgeable in local regulations
• Good coordination in forwarders and brokers.
• With ability to deal with client or must be client-oriented
• Has experience in sales or customer service
• Has experience in business development
• Strong experience and knowledge on all modes of delivery such as trucking, airline, shipping
• Managerial skills, problem-solving, Leadership, Customer Service, Planning & Organizing, Negotiation skills.
• Excellent computer skills, advanced office applications and other computer soft wares
• Excellent English skills or communication skills is a plus
• Experienced with handling general cargo shipments and all related issues
• Have the ability to handle issues with any partner in this business (shipping line, cargo owners, brokers and involved authority).
• Ability to find new clients and have the skills to communicate with them.
