Job summary

Austal in the Philippines, Cebu, Balamban, seeks an IT Support professional to assist the corporate IT team with systems, infrastructure, and local helpdesk services for the PSO site.

You will log requests, provide initial diagnosis, coordinate with Level 2/3 teams, and maintain asset records while enforcing security policies locally. This role offers opportunities for growth within a global IT team.

Qualifications

• B.S. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar degrees.
• Preferably with 5 years of systems or IT experience including system support, integration, design, analysis and implementation.
• Practical knowledge of print queue and printer setup.
• Working knowledge of Office365 administration.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 10, Windows Server, VMware).
• Practical knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, Cisco switching and routing, Wireless networking and internet security and connectivity.
• Working knowledge of ITIL service desk processes: Incident, Issue, Problem, Change and Configuration management.
• Experience with Pronto, Interact, SharePoint, Microsoft SCCM.

Responsibilities

• Manage an IT helpdesk, logging requests into the corporate helpdesk system and assigning to resolution queues.
• Provide initial fault diagnosis and triage for minor issues, coordinating with higher-level resources to resolve major issues.
• Facilitate communication between the IT team and PSO operations, including outage notices.
• Create and maintain configuration records for all IT assets on site.
• Assist in ensuring Information Security policies are communicated and enforced locally.
