Job summary

Canonical is seeking an HR Generalist to join our globally distributed team. Reporting to the Regional HR Manager, you will support HR operations across EMEA or AMER regions, partner with managers, and help shape our people programs in a fast-growing company.

You will manage employee changes, onboarding, benefits, payroll liaison, and HR system improvements, while promoting diversity and inclusion. Strong communication, confidentiality and proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High academic achievement in secondary and tertiary studies.
• Professional HR qualifications and certifications.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws (EMEA or AMER).
• Ability to work independently with proactive problem-solving.
• Strong communication, discretion and diplomacy at all levels.
• Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year (one trip of two full weeks).

Responsibilities

• Provide HR guidance to team members and managers with high behavioral expectations.
• Partner with line managers on global policies and procedures.
• Ensure accuracy in processing employee changes, joiners and leavers.
• Manage benefits programs for EMEA or AMER locations.
• Collaborate with finance on payroll, projects and inquiries.
• Support onboarding, benefits administration and departure processes.
• Lead the development and integration of the HR system.
• Produce data-driven HR reports to inform initiatives.
• Support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
