Job summary

3E Beauty Consulting, a Los Angeles-based beauty packaging and supply chain consultancy, is expanding into freight management and broader supply-chain operations. The role sits on the 3E/brand side, managing the freight process across forwarders, manufacturers, warehouses, and 3E teammates, designing and executing the new framework.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of directly relevant professional experience in supply chain, operations, logistics, procurement, planning or a closely related field.
• Hands-on experience with international freight and logistics.
• Experience with suppliers or manufacturers in Asia, especially China.
• Experience coordinating imports into the United States.
• Strong understanding of international freight and Incoterms.
• Experience reviewing freight quotations and shipping/import documentation.
• Experience managing external partners like suppliers, forwarders, warehouses.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to independently manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Managing international ocean and air freight shipments, primarily from Asia to the United States
• Requesting, reviewing and comparing freight quotations
• Evaluating shipping options based on cost, transit time, production readiness and required delivery dates
• Coordinating cargo-ready dates with overseas manufacturers
• Coordinating delivery and receiving requirements with US contract manufacturers, warehouses and 3PLs
• Managing communication across factories, freight forwarders, CMs, warehouses, clients and the 3E team
• Tracking shipments from production readiness through final delivery
• Reviewing commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of landing and other shipping/import documentation
• Supporting landed-cost analysis and freight-cost tracking
• Identifying potential delays, documentation issues, timing conflicts or other operational risks before they become problems
