Par Excellence Search Consulting Inc. is seeking a results-driven Freight Forwarding Assistant Manager to support daily logistics operations across air, sea, and land. Daily onsite setup and leadership of a mid-to-senior team are expected as you coordinate with carriers and warehouses.

The role emphasizes ensuring compliance, timely updates, and continuous improvement in shipment performance while delivering accurate reporting and client-focused solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 5–10 years’ experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role within the same industry
• Strong knowledge of international shipping and customs processes
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and freight systems
• Detail-oriented with strong reporting skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments under pressure
• Strong time management and planning capabilities

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end freight forwarding operations (air, sea, and land)
• Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and warehouses for smooth delivery
• Oversee shipping documentation (B/L, customs declarations, shipping instructions)
• Track shipments, resolve delays, and provide timely stakeholder updates
• Assist in negotiating freight rates and managing carrier partnerships
• Lead, train, and supervise team members to ensure operational excellence
• Ensure compliance with international trade laws and customs regulations
• Maintain accurate shipment, cost, and performance records
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and cost savings
• Handle client inquiries and provide proactive logistics solutions
• Prepare operational and performance reports
