Episode Six is seeking a seasoned Controller reporting to the VP of Finance & Accounting. The role oversees month-end close for a multi-entity, multi-national setup, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

With 7–10 years in accounting in a tech/SAAS environment, you will drive standards for AP, AR, payroll, and consolidated statements, while coordinating audits and regulatory compliance across countries. This is a hands-on leadership role based in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years progressive accounting experience in tech/SAAS space or similar.
• Advanced understanding of GAAP theory and application; IFRS knowledge a bonus.
• Experience with NetSuite and consolidated financial reporting for multi-currency/multi-entity operations.
• Strong communication with leadership, including C-suite.
• Active CPA license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close across multi-entity/multi-national environments and prepare monthly financial reporting pack for leadership.
• Establish standards for general accounting: AP, AR, payroll, close, and consolidated financial statements.
• Streamline processes and SOX controls to meet local and international compliance.
• Advise internal/external partners on accounting state of affairs and implications.
• Oversee external consultants for audit, tax, and regulatory compliance in operating countries.
• Implement platforms to improve accounting efficiency and accuracy.
• Supervise cashflow to forecast revenue, payments, filings, and payroll bi-weekly.
