Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Commerce, or related field
• 8-10 years of progressive management experience in retail operations
• Proven track record in P&L management, sales targets, profitability improvements
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, inventory, and cost control
• Strategic thinking with strong execution and attention to detail
• Deep understanding of retail operations, supply chain, merchandising, and customer service
• Experience with retail management systems, POS platforms, and data analytics tools
• Strong communication and stakeholder management
• Customer-centric mindset and focus on exceptional shopping experiences
• Preferred: experience in electronics retail or Philippines retail landscape
• Preferred: experience leading multiple store locations or larger retail operations

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability across the Electroworld operation
• Oversee day-to-day operations including inventory management, stock control, merchandising, and store layout optimization to maximise sales and customer experience
• Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of retail staff, supervisors, and department managers, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
• Monitor and analyse KPIs including sales targets, gross margins, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency benchmarks
• Manage budget planning, financial forecasting, and cost control initiatives to ensure profitability and efficient resource allocation
• Develop and execute marketing and promotional campaigns with head office to drive traffic and basket size
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and partners for competitive pricing and product availability
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices across store operations
• Conduct regular performance reviews, training programmes and development initiatives to enhance staff progression
• Represent Abenson Ventures, Inc. and Electroworld brand in the local market, building community relationships and brand reputation

About the role

Abenson Ventures, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager for Electroworld, our leading electronics retail operation based in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position offering a unique opportunity to lead and drive the strategic direction of one of the region's most prominent electronics retail businesses. As General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the performance, profitability, and growth of the Electroworld operation, overseeing all aspects of retail management, sales, operations, and team leadership. This is a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of strategic business management and day-to-day operational excellence, making a direct impact on the company's market position and financial success.

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for

• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive management experience in retail operations, ideally within electronics or consumer durables retail sectors
• Proven track record of successfully managing P&L statements, achieving sales targets, and driving profitability improvements
• Strong leadership and people management skills with demonstrated ability to build, develop, and motivate high-performing teams
• Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and cost control
• Strategic thinking ability combined with strong execution skills and attention to operational detail
• Deep understanding of retail operations, supply chain management, merchandising, and customer service excellence
• Experience with retail management systems, POS platforms, and data analytics tools
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with ability to work effectively at all levels of the organisation
• Customer-centric mindset with focus on delivering exceptional shopping experiences and building customer loyalty
• Preferred: Prior experience in the electronics retail industry or familiarity with the Philippines retail landscape
• Preferred: Experience leading multiple store locations or larger retail operations
