Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Manila, Philippines, seeks a Fund Controller Expense Oversight Associate to oversee external fund administration activities, ensure governance and accurate reporting, and support timely issue resolution across pooled investment vehicles.

You will collaborate with internal teams and vendors to strengthen controls, challenge processes, and elevate operation standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in fund services, incl. income and expense reporting, fund accounting, and regulatory reporting.
• Working knowledge of registered investment products and pooled vehicles (mutual funds, ETFs, COMs, private funds incl. 3(c)(7)).
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, Regulation S-X, Investment Company Act of 1940, liquidity requirements.
• Understanding of NAV, custody, transaction costs, valuation, and fund taxation concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to produce clear oversight and governance reporting with accurate data collection.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day fund oversight activities performed by external service providers and ensure service standards are met.
• Review and validate fund expense accruals, disclosures, and governance reporting for accuracy.
• Validate fees, invoices, approvals, and allocation support in line with agreements and controls.
• Review budgets, reimbursements, year-end balances, and trustee-related expense support; escalate exceptions.
• Lead vendor due diligence, maintain SLAs, scorecards, and governance materials.
• Drive vendor governance meetings, manage change requests, and coordinate remediation for NAV or service issues.
• Monitor lending oversight indicators and escalate where needed.
• Coordinate SOC 1 reviews, contract administration, and onboarding for new funds.
• Manage production cycles for shareholder/regulatory documents with crosswalk validation.
• Partner with risk, legal, compliance, product, client service to identify control gaps and improve oversight reporting.
