Job summary

JPMorganChase in Manila seeks a Fund Controller Expense Oversight Associate to oversee external service providers, validate fund expenses, and ensure governance reporting quality. The role collaborates with risk, legal, compliance, and product teams to strengthen controls and drive timely issue resolution.

You will lead vendor governance activities, maintain scorecards, and support periodic SOC 1 reviews across multiple pooled vehicles, including mutual funds and ETFs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in fund services, including income and expense reporting, fund accounting, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day fund oversight activities performed by external service providers and ensure service standards are met.
• Review and validate fund expense accruals, disclosures, and governance reporting for accuracy.
• Validate fees, invoices, approvals, and allocation support against agreements and controls.
• Review budgets, reimbursements, year-end balances, and trustee-related expense support; escalate exceptions.
• Lead vendor due diligence, maintain SLAs, and produce governance materials.
• Coordinate remediation for net asset value or service issues and manage vendor governance meetings.
• Monitor securities lending indicators and escalate where needed.
• Coordinate SOC 1 recertifications, contract administration, and onboarding for new funds.
• Manage production cycles for shareholder and regulatory documents with crosswalk validation.
• Partner with risk, legal, compliance, product, and client service to identify control gaps and strengthen oversight reporting.
