About the role

Select Goods is seeking a Food and Beverage Host to join our hospitality team in a full-time capacity. Based in Ortigas, Pasig City, Metro Manila, this role is fundamental to creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests from the moment they arrive. As a Food and Beverage Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their visit and ensuring they feel welcomed and valued throughout their time with us. This position is integral to our operations, directly contributing to guest satisfaction, operational efficiency and the overall success of our establishment.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and managing the seating process efficiently and courteously
• Maintaining the host stand, managing reservations and walk-in guests effectively
• Co-ordinating with wait staff and kitchen teams to optimise table turnover and service flow
• Providing guests with menus and communicating current specials, promotions and menu highlights
• Managing guest flow during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations
• Answering guest inquiries regarding menu items, ingredients, allergens and dietary requirements with accuracy and professionalism
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the host stand and entrance area
• Processing payments and managing the point-of-sale system as required
• Monitoring guest satisfaction and reporting any concerns or feedback to management
• Supporting the team during peak service times and assisting with general hospitality duties as needed

What we're looking for

• Prior experience working in a hospitality or food and beverage setting, preferably as a host, receptionist or in a similar guest-facing role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service
• Professional appearance and demeanour with the ability to remain composed and courteous in high-pressure environments
• Organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively during busy service periods
• Basic knowledge of dining etiquette and service standards in the hospitality industry
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings and public holidays as required
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and take direction from management
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and reservation management tools is advantageous
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the hospitality sector
