JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a service-oriented and detail-oriented Server/Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, and ensuring a smooth dining experience. The candidate should be friendly, organized, and capable of handling customer orders and payment transactions efficiently in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Customer Service and Guest Assistance

• Welcome customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous, and professional service.

• Assist customers with menu inquiries, recommendations, and available promotions.

• Address customer concerns and requests in a polite and professional manner.

• Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the dining experience.

• Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

2. Order Taking and Food Service

• Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.

• Communicate orders clearly to the kitchen and bar teams.

• Serve food and beverages promptly and according to established service standards.

• Verify order accuracy before serving and ensure that customers receive the correct items.

• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and address additional requests.

• Assist in clearing tables and maintaining an orderly dining area when needed.

3. Cashiering and Payment Processing

• Process customer payments accurately using cash, credit or debit cards, e-wallets, and other accepted payment methods.

• Operate the POS system and generate accurate receipts.

• Handle cash transactions and provide the correct change.

• Maintain accurate records of sales and payment transactions.

• Reconcile cash and sales at the end of the shift when assigned.

• Report transaction discrepancies, voids, refunds, and other payment-related concerns to the supervisor.

4. Dining Area Cleanliness and Organization

• Keep tables, counters, service stations, and other assigned areas clean and organized.

• Ensure that dining tables are properly arranged and ready for incoming customers.

• Replenish condiments, utensils, napkins, and other service supplies.

• Follow proper sanitation, food safety, and hygiene procedures.

• Observe proper waste disposal and maintain cleanliness throughout the shift.

5. Sales Support and Product Knowledge

• Maintain familiarity with menu items, prices, ingredients, and ongoing promotions.

• Recommend additional items and complementary products when appropriate.

• Inform customers about available offers and special menu items.

• Support sales targets by providing attentive service and appropriate product recommendations.

• Assist in monitoring supplies and reporting low-stock items to the supervisor.

6. Team Coordination and Operational Support

• Coordinate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service personnel to ensure efficient operations.

• Follow opening, closing, and shift turnover procedures.

• Comply with company policies, service standards, and operational guidelines.

• Assist with inventory counts and other assigned administrative tasks.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience as a server, cashier, service crew member, or in a related hospitality role is an advantage.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

• Basic mathematical skills and accuracy in handling cash and payment transactions.

• Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is preferred.

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Presentable, approachable, responsible, and attentive to customer needs.

• Strong attention to detail in taking orders and processing payments.

• Willingness to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required.

• Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members.
