Job summary

PB Maritime Personnel Inc. is seeking an IT support specialist to provide first-line and second-line technical assistance for fleet and vessel systems, both onboard and in the office.

You will monitor systems, handle data transfers, and deliver training sessions to seafarers and staff. The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently across multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in IT user/app/system support roles.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both office and vessel personnel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Familiarity with maritime software is a plus.
• Experience delivering training and remote support.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily monitoring of fleet and vessel systems and related data transfers.
• Monitor and maintain database backup processes to ensure data integrity and system availability.
• Provide first-line and second-line technical support for onboard and office users.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve systems issues related to fleet systems.
• Deliver remote support to vessels through TeamViewer, Microsoft Teams, telephone, or other approved tools.
• Install, configure, test, and upgrade fleet applications.
• Conduct system training sessions for seafarers and office staff.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and business initiatives as directed.
