Job summary

SAFC in the Philippines is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide timely technical assistance for internal systems, hardware, and software, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime. You will serve as the first line of defense for resolving IT issues, supporting end-users, and collaborating with IT teams during routine maintenance and security tasks.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, effective communication, and willingness to travel for fieldwork when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science.
• 1–2 years of technical support or helpdesk experience.
• Willing to perform fieldwork and occasional after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
• Respond to support tickets, emails, and calls from internal users.
• Install and configure operating systems, applications, and devices.
• Perform routine system checks and updates.
• Assist with login issues, password resets, and access requests.
• Provide guidance on using internal tools and platforms.
• Maintain records of issues, solutions, and configurations.
• Contribute to internal knowledge base and documentation.
• Collaborate with System Admin, Database Admin, and Network Admin teams.
• Enforce security protocols and monitor for unauthorized access.
• Support data protection and backup procedures.
