Job summary

World Vision is seeking a Finance Assistant Reliever for the KOICA MNCH Project in Tacloban City. The role supports day‑to‑day financial activities, ensuring grant compliance and accurate reporting under the supervision of the Senior Finance Officer.

The position is a fixed-term contract for five months, based in Tacloban City, with duties across finance service, filing, grant operations, and asset/audit support. A BA in accounting/finance and 1+ year experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• At least one year of relevant work experience.
• Grant-funded project experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes or similar systems, email and internet applications.
• Ability to work under pressure in a multicultural environment.
• Physically and medically fit to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely payments and recording in the Finance system.
• Ensure project expenses, including partner costs, comply with policies.
• Organize and file transaction documents and financial records for audits.
• Prepare cash requests and ensure funds are available monthly.
• Maintain asset listings and support audit readiness.
• Assist Senior Grant Finance Officer and respond to auditors’ queries.
